Stanley Colaco

There are few captains in Dempo’s collective history who have left such a lasting impression on their teammates. The burly Stanley Colaco may not have been the most elegant of defenders, but his commitment, dedication and will to succeed was a shining example for the other players. He led Dempo to their first Federation Cup triumph in 2004 and provided the strength to his colleagues after the Cristiano Junior tragedy to go out and achieve the grand double by winning the NFL as well, the only Dempo captain to achieve this feat. It’s a pity he had to call time on his career at Dempo to focus on his job at Customs & Central Excise.
