Orlando Viegas

He provided glimpses of his wonderful abilities right from a young age when he captained Goa in the All India Sub-Junior Championship in Jammu & Kashmir. Thereafter, it was only a matter of time before Dempo signed him up from Salcete. A complete footballer with good shooting skills,Orlando Viegas epitomised the spirit of Dempo and everything that is good about football. He became a member of the state senior squad in the same year of joining Dempo, and was an automatic starter till 1996 when Goa lost in the final to West Bengal. After quitting Dempo in 1995, he spent time at Churchill Brothers and Vasco, before packing his bags for greener pastures in the United Arab Emirates.
