The Story So Far:
Game number 56 of the Goa Professional League will see The Golden Eagles meet Panjim Footballers at the Dempo Football academy facility at ELLA Ground. Having played and lost their first match at ELLA, the Eagles will look to make amends and get back to winning ways.
The Eagles having started well have fallen off the pace in the last few games, having dropped points to Vasco SC and Churchill Brothers, the boys will look to Panjim Footballers as a must win game for the sake of building momentum and form.
The boys were previously undefeated in their last six league games, having only dropped points this season to Sporting Clube De Goa, Churchill Brothers and Vasco SC.
The Opposition:
In the eight games so far, Panjim Footballers have now lost five and find themselves 7th in the league standings.
With the difference between the bottom and 6th place just 6 points, the outfit will know that their season could go from comfortable to a disaster in a few games.
The onus would be on collecting points and with the Eagles suffering at the moment the game could provide for an exciting challenge.
Players To Watch:
Pedro Gonsalves had an off day versus Churchill Brothers but still managed to get a brace in the dying embers of the game. If the Golden Eagles need to get their season on the track he will need to show a similar drive that was displayed in the last 10 mins against Churchill Brothers FC.
