The Dempo Sports Club under 14 Youth Development side breezed past a young Red Machines side at Ella Ground on Wednesday, slotting 7 past the Churchill brother’s side.
Having started the game with the bang, the eagles had the ball in the net in the opening 2 minutes of the game, Topan Mirj connecting to a Dezwin Dias cross that was judged offside.
The game burst into life moments later, Asher Fernandes taking full opportunity of his starting berth to score 4 goals before the half was over with Topan Mirj adding a beautiful volley from close range to make it five for the hosts in the first 35 minutes.
The Second half was all about young Swavel Furtado, the number 7 had been a torn in the Red Machine side from the get-go and got his reward in the second half.
The young winger stepped up to slot the ball home from the spot after his mazy run saw him brought down in the box. He had enough time to add another one before time, leaving the coach Pradip Chopdekar with a bright smile across his face as the Eagles posted another big victory.
