Dempo Sports Club recorded another pre-season victory early this morning against Vasco SC at Ella, Old Goa.
It was a convincing performance from the Eagles, who were particularly impressive in the first half and eventually capped off the 90 mins with a 2-0 win, in their favor. With the agenda of the day to try out his formations as well as give his players time on the grass, Samir Naik fielded every player at his disposal, making sure each player that was fit and available to him, was given enough time to impress. The Eagles who were well matched in the opening 15 minutes of the game, got their goals through Richard and Suraj, courtesy a well-delivered corner kick from Suraj and a smart pass from Danstan respectively.
With the Eagles finding their form in front of goal, it was the defense that actually stole the show, in between Shubham clearing the ball off the goal line and Melroy saving a penalty kick, the boys made sure their clean sheet was not breached.
