Dionisio Trinadade

Dempo always bought the best available players, and Dionisio Trindade was a player that Dempo needed to get at any cost, from Salgaocar! His arrival at Dempo was big news and not without a reason. Trindade’s dominating performances inside the box, his ability to shield the ball and aerial prowess caught the eye, but it was the ability to score with both feet that distinguished him from the rest. He scored some memorable and wonderful goals but two of them will remain etched in memory: both against JCT Mills in the final of the 1980 Rovers Cup which Dempo won 2-0.
