Dempo Sports Club scored an easy 2-0 win over Churchill Brothers Sports Club in the All India Football Federation (AIFF) U-13 Sub Junior League match played at Rosary ground, Navelim.
Rabi Pun and Naythan Coutinho scored for the young Eagles to remain unbeaten in four games and leading at the top with 10 points.
After end to end football in the opening stages of the game, Dempo Sports Club were first to take the lead when Brandon Pereira played a long aerial through ball to Rabi Pun, who brilliantly controlled the ball with his first touch, and slammed the ball past the helpless rival keeper. Dempo Sports Club lead 1-0 at the break.
In the second half, Dempo Sports Club consolidated their lead when Asmon on receiving the ball from the defence, played it through to Naythan Coutinho and the latter covered some ground before dribbling past two Churchill Brothers SC defenders to make it 2-0.
