Trainees at the Dempo Sports Club Academy attained 100% result in the HSSC 2021 Goa Board examinations. This is the first time that the Academy had a group of boys eligible for the HSSC Goa Board Examinations. Of the seven boys who cleared the examination, 2 got distinctions, 4 came in second and one attained a 1st class rank. The club’s Alrico Cardozo scored 85%.
Dempo SC has congratulated the teaching staff at Dempo College of Arts & Science and Rekha D’Silva, who have played an important role in helping the students achieve such results. Speaking about the achievement, Shrinivas Dempo, Chairman of the Dempo Group said, “When the Academy was inaugurated in 2017, I had spoken about my wish to provide the boys with the best in football and academics. Education has always been important to the Dempo Group and successfully integrating it into a Sports Academy has given me great happiness and a sense of pride.
“I would like to congratulate all the trainees, parents, coaching and teaching staff for this wonderful achievement & hope to see the boys grow further in the career of their choice,” he said.
