Champions, Dempo Sports Club take on Prayag United Sports Club in the final game of the I-League 2011-12 season at the Salt Lake Stadium. With the title already wrapped up, Dempo coach Armando Colaco will look to hand a start to players like Godwin Franco and Peter Carvalho.

Dempo already on 54 points can finish the season with 57 points with a win, if achieved, would set a record for the highest number of points accumulated ever in the League. Coach Armando Colaco credited the win to good teamwork and excellent team management. He also aimed to end the season on a high. Dempo has no suspension worries but Ranti Martins looks a doubtful starter due to a bad ankle. In his absence Yusuke Kato, the 26 year old Japanese, could get his first start of the League.

Mahesh Gawli who missed the game againstEast Bengalwith a thigh injury could be fielded for the game subject to him passing a late fitness test. If he fails to recover, Rowilson Rodrigues will partner Cresson Antao at the heart of the defense along with Debabrata Roy and Samir Naik on the left.

Prayag United on the other hand would be desperate for a win as three points could take them galloping up the table. A win for Prayag coupled with a loss for Mohun Bagan could see them finish fifth in the League. We have had a reasonable season so far. We remained unbeaten against big teams like Dempo,East Bengaland Mohun Bagan. We even defeated Dempo away in Goa which was a creditable result. We hope to repeat the feat again.”
