Match Preview, Goa Professional League 2019-20: Dempo Sports Club Vs SESA FA.

The Story So Far:

 2 games, 2 wins, 7 scored & 1 conceded.

The Eagles are back to their best and will be hoping to make it 3 wins in 3 as they make a late push up the Goa Professional League table.

In a repeat of the first game of the season, the Eagles will be hoping for a repeat result, when they beat the hosts by 2 goals, thanks to some Beevan D'Mello magic.

With 4 games left in the campaign, the boys will be hoping to pile the pressure on both Churchill Brothers FC and Sporting Clube De Goa as they hope to capitalize on any slip in their respective campaigns.

With Joaquin Abranches, Alber Gonsalves and Suraj Hadonkar all available from the off, the Eagles will have no lack of firepower!

With 18 goals amongst the 3 of them, Samir Naik’s men will have all the tools required to make the journey back home with all the points.

The Opposition:

Sitting at 11th place in a league of 12 is not something the boys would have imagined at the start of the season, with excellent performances against the likes of top teams like Sporting Clube De Goa a lot was expected from this SESA FA side but hasn’t been delivered.

With a goal difference of -4 this season, the team has not been able to find the net at all, conceding only 19 but converting just 15 of their chances.

With the hosts known to pick off big scalps at random this season, the Eagles will do well to give them the respect they deserve as they hope to push on up the table.

Players To Watch:

Suraj Hadkonkar: A hat trick in his last outing means Suraj has now scored 4 goals in his last 2 games, with Seven to his name across the season so far, he is the joint top scorer for the Eagles tied with club veteran Joaquim Abranches, looking to use his pace and quick feet to unlock the SESA FA defense, He may very well be the match winner again.
