Romeo, Mandar, Aniston, Myron and Thapa were members of last year’s victorious team. Speaking exclusively to www.demposportsclub.com, Dempo juniors coach Mr. Mathew D’Costa has expressed his confidence of Dempo retaining their title. “We have a very good team with some good young players like Romeo, Shallum, Mandar, Thapa, Myron and Aniston who are with the senior team. “This team will also play in the U-19 I-League so it will be a good preparation for that tournament. Plus these players have a chance to stake claim for a place in the first eleven for the junior I-League tournament”, signed off Mathew.  No one knows Dempo’s junior players better than Mathew D’Costa, having been associated with them for the past five years. Last year under him, Dempo won the U-18 and U-20 tournaments and also finished in third place in the GFA Second Division League. In the U-19 I-League too Dempo lost out on a place in the final round only on goal difference.

The U-20 team is all geared up for the challenge at hand and we wish them all the luck. Hoping for another “Dempo Domination” from the young turks of Dempo Sports Club in the Taca Goa League.
